MSDB size

Hi All,

I am running SQL Server 2008 R2 Std. MSDB has grown to a third of the size of the volume. We do hourly and nightly backups which is causing it to grow. I ran a cleanup to purge all backup history up to 12/1/2013 but I did not reclaim any space. I am not very proficient in SQL and run a backup before I do anything.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
