One sql server database A has full recovery mode:
Here are backup files:
7/1 Full backup of A(file: fullbk71.bak)
7/2 Transaction log backup of A (File: trnbk72.trn)
7/3 Full backup of A (file: fullbk73.bak)
7/4 transaction log backup of A (File: trnbk74.trn)
7/5 I want to restore Database A to7/4 status:
So I should use 1) or 2)
1) Restore fullbk71.bak with norecovery, restore trnbk72.trn with no recovery, restore trnbk74.trn with recovery
or
2) Restore fullbk73.bak with norecovery, restore trnbk74.trn with recovery
?
And if 7/6 I delete all old full backups (Fullbk71.bak, Fullbk73.bak) then create new full backup--Fullbk74.bak at 10:00 am,
After this full backup, first transaction log backup runs at 11:00am. This 11am transaction log backup will save transactions between 10:00 am and 11:00 am. Correct?
