My Performance analsyt  whouses external 3rd party tools on my environment says that  where he attempts read/write activity of 5 Mbyte per second (from the SQL server process) leads to disk response times of 200 ms instead of 10 ms, Please advise what disk bandwidth we should be able to expect for a single database server. 5 MByte is the capacity of a single hard disk drive (an old one, my laptop can perform more than 5 Mbyte per second), so it does not seem to be an appropriate limit for a database server.

So can anyone help me know what disk bandwidth we should be able to expect for a single database server.

Environment : windows 2008R2 ENT, SQL2008R2 ENT SP2

Dedicated LUN for SQL DATA ,SQL LOG and SQL TEMPDB , all of them are in separate drives, the heavy disk write is on SQL DATA drive which is around 400GB capacity data file size is around 320GB.

This is the destination Cluster server which has an Pull subscriptionfor transactional replication.
