Hello, I'm hoping someone may be able to help; my client is about to upgrade their current SQL 2008 R2 Express Edition to 2008 R2 Standard to overcome the 4GB DB size restriction (they are currently using this in a SharePoint Foundation install). However,
when having a look at the capabilities of 2008R2 Standard here:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms143432.aspx I found something concerning - the "Files per Database" seems to be saying that it can only have a maximum of 32,767 files? Is that right? I would have thought that as the max DB size is over
524 TB, it would be able to hold more than 32k files? Am I reading this incorrectly? Thanks in Advance!
